Thursday Morning Training Sessions – Instructor Lucy Williams

HALESWORTH AND DISTRICT RIDING CLUB
THURSDAY MORNING TRAINING SESSIONS 2026

1 hour Session Times start 10.00am – 12 noon

These Fun & Informative Thursday Morning Sessions will be held indoors at

Broads Equestrian Centre, Church Farm, Barnby, Beccles, NR34 7QN

Everyone welcome to join our club’s regular training groups on Thursday mornings.
A great way to join like minded riders for a fun social get together.
Open to all levels of ability with support and encouragement being the main aim for both horse & rider.

To cater for all abilities we aim to split these 1 hour sessions into small groups of similar ability Dressage, Polework, Grids & SJ sessions all available.

Please let Jackie know your training preferences at time of booking.

Groups of up to 4 horses/ponies – £25 – per session members £30 non members

Arena based training with Jonty Evans BECC Level 3 Eventing Coach
Predominantly jump training however some limited dressage training will be available to enable all members to take part


1hr sessions £40 members £45 non members.

This very popular session will be “about clear communication, leading to some more challenging lines over fences and greater understanding on the flat”!

Jonty Evans has an equestrian career that spans nearly 4 decades. In this time producing countless young horses through the eventing grades, becoming a seasoned event rider at the top of the sport, riding at Badminton and the Rio Olympic Games has been achieved with an honest and open approach. After a life threatening and riding career ending accident in 2018, Jonty has focused completely on Coaching and training. Accomplishing the BECC3 in early 2025 he looks to help riders establish their system, developing this through training and proving it at Competition. Jonty is an accomplished after dinner/presentation speaker and will keep you entertained while picking up plenty of how to tips that will leave you wanting more.
Experience the truth of what Elite equestrian sport is all about, the ingredients that have gone into Jonty’s career and learn how you might apply much of the work, tips and training techniques that have helped to shape this fascinating journey.

This is an ideal opportunity to meet all the other members and to let the committee know what you would like to see happening in the club over the course of the next 12 months –
friends, partners & non-members are always welcome.

Those of you who won trophys and awards last year please could you return them?
Either to a committee member in the next couple of weeks or on the night.

The function room is next to the car park and will be available to us all evening.
Buffet options will be available at 12.50 per head
Plus a raffle – prizes are always welcome

Everyone is very welcome to attend free of charge, however there will be a £12.50 per head charge for the meal. Payable on the day.
